The Imota Country Club has stated that the appointment of the pioneer Deputy Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Dr Olumide Metilelu, is a well – deserved one.
In a statement by the General Secretary of the club, Mr Ayoola Bolaji, the club said that Metilelu’s antecedents and commitment to the development of the state, speak for him and make him merit the appoitment.
“On behalf of President, the Board of Trustee (BOT), Executive Management and members of the Imota Country Club, Lagos, I congratulate you on your well -deserved appointment as a member of Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
“Your appointment came with joy and happiness. Your outstanding performance and antecedent as Immediate past Acting Rector of Lagos State Polytechnic and Pioneer Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu, Lagos, as well as your various contributions to state and nation building in many organizations that you have served.
“Your well – deserved appointment justifies your strict resilience to State Building, and we, therefore, harbour no doubt, that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo- Olu, has made good choice and decision that will further engender further growth and development of our State.
“This merited appointment can only be credited to your entire past record of achievements in your various public and academic service, as well as your abiding commitment and dedication to excellence.
